Lost four and a half stone herself before qualifying, and now coaches women in Wisbech from exactly that starting point. The empathy is not theoretical.

Who trains here

Gyms in Wisbech:
why people pick this one

The average member at this gym is not a bodybuilder and has never boxed. They are parents, shift workers, people coming back after years off, and people who joined in January and are still here in October because somebody in the gym showed them what to do.

Two members picking dumbbells off the rack under the Push Yourself sign on the main floor at BoxCross UK Wisbech A normal Tuesday

The thing that stops most people joining a gym is the first fortnight, not the training. So every membership at this Wisbech gym starts with a free induction with an actual coach: twenty minutes, no upsell, walked round both buildings and set up on the kit you care about.

After that the classes carry you. Small groups, coached the whole way through, scaled to whoever walks in.

Who is behind it

The Wisbech gym four
founders built

BoxCross opened in December 2023 in a converted factory on Regal Road. Three expansions later, the most recent costing £250,000, it is ranked in the top six gyms in the UK.

Damien Pearl, Brendan Pearl, Jordan Gill and Gareth Watts, the four founders of BoxCross UK, with Samson Dauda, 2024 Mr Olympia, in the functional room in Wisbech The four founders with Samson Dauda

Damien Pearl runs the place and chose every machine on the floor. His brother Brendan is a competitive bodybuilder with over a million YouTube subscribers. Jordan Gill is a former Commonwealth, European and WBA International champion. Gareth Watts handles the strategy.

None of which makes this a gym for athletes. It means the standard is set at the top, and everybody who walks through the door trains underneath it.

The short versionWhat you get for your moneyThe whole offer in one place, if you are comparing gyms in Wisbech.

BoxCross is a 24 hour gym in Wisbech at 15 Regal Road, PE13 2RQ, open 24/7 on Silver and Gold. Two air-conditioned buildings, over 120 pieces of handpicked equipment from fifteen manufacturers, two boxing rings, coached classes every day, a nutrition bar, a tanning studio with its own entrance and sports massage on site.

Memberships at this Wisbech gym run from £21.99 a month, and £11 for your first month with code FIRST50. There is no joining fee and no contract, and you cancel with seven days' notice. Every tier includes a free induction with a coach.

Of all the Wisbech gyms, it is the only one to win East of England Gym of the Year twice, in 2024 and 2025, and it holds a 5.0 rating from 236 Google reviews, the highest of any gym in the town. Over a thousand people train here, from age five to their eighties.

24 hour gym access in Wisbech comes with Silver and Gold, 365 days a year including Christmas. If you would rather train when it is quiet, the off-peak tier covers 9am to 3pm and 9pm to 3am for £21.99.

Members drive in from March, King's Lynn, Leverington, Chatteris, Whittlesey, Outwell and Upwell. Parking at the gym is free and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.

Classes are included from Bronze upwards. The group exercise classes in Wisbech that run here cover boxing, spin, step, bootcamps, Ultimate Athlete, women's only and kids, 22 sessions a week, plus a free Sunday run club. Most fitness classes in Wisbech run one or two evenings a week; these run every day, all coached live by a person rather than a screen on a wall. If you have been hunting for exercise classes in Wisbech that are not either a village hall or an app, that is the timetable.

The boxing side is a proper Wisbech boxing club, not a bag hung in a corner: two full competition rings, coaches who have worked professional corners, kids’ and youth sessions six days a week and pad work for people who will never step through the ropes. Nobody has to take part, and most members never do.

It is also a gym with personal trainers in Wisbech in a way that most are not. Fifteen coaches work out of the building, covering boxing, bodybuilding, women's coaching, weight loss and nutrition, and you pick the one you book rather than take whoever is on shift.

The tanning studio has its own front door on Regal Road, so the sunbeds in Wisbech here are open to people with no interest in training at all. No membership, no walking through the gym.

If you have typed gym near me or gyms near me from anywhere in Fenland, the map tends to land on Regal Road, partly through geography and partly because there is not much else of this size between March and Lynn. The same holds when the search narrows. A 24 hour gym near me, from most of the Fens, means this one: Silver and Gold open the doors 24/7, 365 days a year. Anybody looking for boxing gyms near me or boxing clubs near me will find this is the only place with two full competition rings sitting inside a 24-hour facility for a fair distance in any direction. People weighing up the best gyms nearby are usually comparing three things: floor space, opening hours, and whether anybody will actually show them how to use the equipment.

Everything elseMore than a gymMassage, nutrition, spin, run club, women’s training, youth.

Common questions

Before you come in

Is the induction really free?

Yes. Every membership starts with a 20-minute induction with one of the coaches, who walks you round both buildings and sets you up on the kit you care about. No extra charge, and it is the simplest way to stop feeling lost in a gym in Wisbech.

I have never been to a gym in Wisbech before. Will I feel out of place?

No, and the induction exists precisely so you do not. Members here range from five years old to their eighties, and most of the people in the classes had never trained before they started. Say it is your first time and the coach will pitch it accordingly.

Why is it more than the budget gym down the road?

Because you get considerably more: over 120 pieces of handpicked equipment across fifteen brands, two buildings, dumbbells to 70kg, live coached classes, air conditioning throughout, sports massage, a nutrition bar and a free induction with a real coach. The comparison is set out in full further up this page.

How much is a gym membership in Wisbech?

At BoxCross, Off-Peak is £21.99 a month, Bronze £32.99, Silver £42.99 and Gold £60. With code FIRST50 your first month is half of that, so £11 to £30. No joining fee. Cancel with 7 days’ notice.

Is there a 24 hour gym in Wisbech?

Yes. BoxCross on Regal Road is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, on Silver and Gold. Bronze runs 7am to 9pm and Off-Peak covers 9am to 3pm and 9pm to 3am.

Do I have to do boxing?

Not at all. Boxing is one of six things on offer and most members never touch it. It is there because it makes the coaching better, not because you have to take part.

Do you have parking?

Free on-site parking plus free street parking on Regal Road. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, and there is an accessible toilet.
